We start by assessing the patient’s skin to see if microneedling suits their needs.
For pre-care, we email patients a full set of instructions, which includes not taking any blood thinning medications and to keep their skin free of topical products.
Procedure
We start by applying a topical numbing cream. Once absorbed, we clean the skin and use either hyaluronic acid or the patient’s plasma with our microneedling device.
We are looking for redness and minor bleeding to indicate sufficient microneedling. Slight inflammation and redness is necessary to trigger the skin’s healing process.
Follow Up & AfterCare
We explain to patients what their post-care before leaving the clinic, as well as sending them an email with the instructions.
Expect redness and minor swelling a couple of days after treatment. Peeling can occur within the first week of treatment, after which, the skin returns to normal appearance.
Best results are seen after a few sessions.
